Custom Abalone 11-String Fretless Banjo – Bancod
The ERASAZ Bancod brings together the projecting character of a banjo-style aluminium body and the expressive freedom of a fretless Turkish cumbus. Its centrepiece is our exclusive ERASAZ fretless fingerboard made with genuine New Zealand abalone mother-of-pearl—a signature surface whose blue, green and turquoise reflections change beautifully under different light.
This rare ERASAZ design turns the entire fingerboard into a visual focal point and gives the instrument a presence far beyond an ordinary production model. Built for musicians and collectors looking for something genuinely distinctive, it pairs a black oven-painted 29 cm aluminium body with a darkened solid hornbeam neck, ebony edging and a polished finish.
The 11-string setup uses five double courses plus one single string and can alternatively be configured with six single strings. Mechanical tuning pegs and a synthetic head complete the instrument.
